C Jamy
Commissioned by Elephant Doc for France 5, the identity for C Jamy is rooted in the visual DNA of its host, Jamy Gourmaud. I distilled his trademark round eyeglasses into a foundational circular motif that governs every aspect of the program’s architecture. This geometric core evolves from the opening sequence into a systemic language of circle-grid backgrounds, circular segment titles, and transition wipes. On-screen information is contained within “circle clouds” - a graphic nod to comic-book thought bubbles.

The broadcast “bug” (permanent on-screen logo) functions as the central nervous system of the program. I engineered a dynamic bug where the “lenses” of the iconic glasses change color to reflect the five distinct editorial segments. The bug is programmed to “blink” to trigger on-screen graphic events: deploying lower-thirds, info-bubbles, and transition wipes. This creates a rhythmic, functional link between the brand mark and the editorial content.

To support a daily national broadcast, I delivered a hybrid production kit optimized for the Avid post-production environment:
Chromatic segmentation: A suite of segment-specific assets (lower-thirds, bubbles) rendered in five distinct colorways to ensure immediate visual navigation.
Pre-rendered master assets: Full-screen opening sequences and segment bumpers.
Post-production toolkit: “blank” alpha-channel containers paired with a rigorous typographic guidelines deck, enabling the editorial team to generate high-quality, brand-compliant data overlays in real-time.
