EVAM

Annual report editorial & data framework

Client: Etablissement vaudois d’accueil des migrants
(Vaudois institution for migrant reception)

Commissioned by the Vaudois institution for migrant reception, I engineered a comprehensive editorial production system for their annual reports.

The visual centerpiece is a bespoke monogram - a geometric construction whose rhythmic stripes serve as a subtle graphic nod to the Canton de Vaud shield. This synthesis of local institutional heritage and modernist line-art provides EVAM with a mark that is both culturally grounded and contemporary.

Modular InDesign architecture

My role extended beyond art direction to the delivery of a complete editorial infrastructure. I developed a robust InDesign framework for the internal communication team, featuring complex page grids, a typography hierarchy based on Messina Sans and Plex Mono, as well as standardised photo treatments. This system-first approach allows for high-velocity production while ensuring that the institutional brand remains uncompromisingly consistent across print and digital editions.

Financial & infographic language

A significant portion of the mandate involved the translation of dense administrative data into clear visual narratives. I established a unified graphic language for the report’s financial statements, utilizing custom typography stylesheets and bespoke infographic models (bar charts, custom maps, and symbols). This focus on information architecture ensures that complex data sets are transformed into accessible, high-legibility assets that meet Swiss standards of transparency and precision.
