Le Monde de Jamy
Broadcast identity package

Broadcaster: France 3

For Le Monde de Jamy (France 3), I developed a comprehensive visual infrastructure for a premium, two-hour primetime format. Hosted by Jamy Gourmaud - a foundational figure in French educational broadcasting - the show requires a design system that maintains viewer engagement across a 120-minute narrative arc. The challenge was to create a flexible “data layer” capable of translating complex phenomena - from volcanic thermodynamics to marine migration - into high-visibility broadcast assets while maintaining a rigid institutional anchor for the France Télévisions network.
Information graphics & data treatment
I established a comprehensive visual grammar for in-house teams to follow, ensuring that every data point - no matter how complex - retains its clarity.
“Data window” motion behavior: The primary motion system is derived from the circular geometry of the show’s “bug” logo. A circular wipe expands to create a data window, allowing an information layer to coexist with the cinematic footage without cluttering the frame.
Simplified data visualization: I provided examples of bold, minimalist information graphics, including measurement systems, topographical maps, and technical call-outs.
The core brand assets, including the primary logo and typography, have remained constant since the show's inception, providing a stable visual signature.
Semantic color coding: To manage diverse subject matter, I developed a 4-point highlight color system. This allows for a thematic alignment in each episode: blue for hydrological/oceanic episodes, orange for geological/thermal topics, etc.
Broadcaster alignment: By integrating France Télévisions’ specific accessibility standards and aesthetic requirements into the initial design phase, I ensured a seamless deployment with no friction from the broadcaster.
